Adam and I like a walk but tend to frequent the same old routes that lie on our doorstep. One winters morning we decided to jump in the car and give ourselves a change of scenery. I had a quick browse of where would be worth heading and we took a drive to Chesterton Windmill, which was about a 45 minute drive away from us.
This hilltop windmill is one of the most famous landmarks in Warwickshire and it’s history dates back to the 1600’s. Despite the blue skies we had the whole place to ourselves. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and as I write this currently under lock down I yearn to go back!
Afterwards we popped into Warwick, a 10 minute drive away from the windmill. We had a delicious pizza lunch at Dough & Brew, which our lovely walk rendered guilt free. The service was really friendly and they found a place for us despite being very busy, I’d absolutely recommend because the pizza was gorgeous!
